Entry #0. Getting to Know Me.
Who am I?
My name is Eric Mendivil, a 20 year old college student born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I am currently in my third semester at Glendale Community College, I took a two year break due to the hate/hate relationship I have with all online classes. As you can probably tell from my word usage I despise being in the same vicinity of my bed and expected to wake up and go to class, all while it stares deeply into my soul begging me to just lay down and go back to sleep. I also dislike when people try to explain something to me that I already know, just a minor pet peeve.
Interests,Hobbies,Goals:
My interests consists of cars, music, and video games. I love all types of cars from old muscle cars to low riders and even JDM's (Japanese Domestic Market). I hope to one day own many vehicles that range from drifting cars, track cars, and show cars that are always looking their best. Now for music I enjoy both playing and listening, music is a way for me to express myself since I am pretty bad with putting emotions into words. I love to play video games because I am very competitive, video games are a great way to have fun while also scratching that competitive itch. My ultimate goal is to finish school and get a degree in engineering. I want to be able to make things from scratch and learn why things are made the way they are.
Hey Eric! I gotta say it's pretty cool that you're going into engineering, as I am doing the same. I plan on getting the associate's and then transferring to ASU and going into aerospace. I also would say I am something that's super into music, any time I'm alone, if I'm not watching tv then I will usually have my airpods in, listening to whatever musical scratch I need to itch. What kind of instrument do you play? I play guitar, and there's just something majestic about creating music yourself that allows you to really experience the joy of it.
ReplyDeleteWe got similar stories, I also took a two year break due to all the online classes; I'm a terrible procrastinator and that sure wouldn't help. I'm also pursuing a degree in engineering, specifically software engineering. Judging by the pictures that you posted, I can tell that you have a great taste in cars. Personally, I'm all for JDM, but I started off with a muscle car so I also got love for those. Owning an R34 has been the dream since I was a kid.
