Entry #1. Learning About Blogs.

Todays topic is going to be about blogs, how do I feel about them? And what purpose do they serve? Personally I like the idea of writing a blog, it allows anyone to express themselves in anyway they please. No matter the setting, professional or casual, blogs are a great outlet to let ideas run free. I will choose three blogs that I have recently looked through and explain two that I enjoyed and one that I did not. I must say before I get into the blogs that the one blog I disliked is not necessarily bad, it is my opinion and may be more enjoyable to a different audience.

Blog #1

The first blog that I really enjoyed was one called TechCrunch.com, and it was originally created by Michael Arrington. His main purpose for the blog was to review some of the best up-and-coming tech companies and entrepreneurs from around the world. He has since sold the blog to AOL for $30 million and now owns his own investment fund, CrunchBase. The main reason I enjoy TechCrunch is because I love learning about new tech, I also enjoy the formatting since it is easy to read and very organized. In each new entry the titles are big and bold and have a good summarization of what the entry is about.

Blog #2

The second blog I enjoyed goes by the name of CopyBlogger, originally created by Brain Clark, this blog teaches tips and tricks in how to make a blog of your own. What I enjoy most about this blog is how the organization is different from other blogs yet uniform, the blog is easy to navigate and makes finding whatever it is you may be looking for a breeze. I also like the meaning behind the blog, its main purpose is to help any aspiring authors find their style when entering the blogging space.

Blog #3

Now for the third blog, the one I did not particularly enjoy, 21 Twitter Marketing Hacks: Writing Better Tweets Faster. As you can already see the title is a mouthful and if you actually read into the blog the title doesn't really correlate with the material. I also think the phrase "Writing Better Tweets Faster" isn't too compelling. One thing I did sort of like from this blog is the pictures used, it showed you clearly a step by step guide on what to do, what buttons to press, and good examples to get you started.

As I said before others may enjoy the blog I disliked and it is only my opinion, anyways that is all for now, thanks for tuning into my entry on my experience learning about blogs. See you all soon!
