Entry #2. The Big Bang Debunked?!

     Hello everyone I am back with yet another entry, today's topic will be about the drama that happened this year revolving around the Big Bang Theory. First off let me explain what the Big Bang Theory is, to make it as simple as possible, the Big Bang Theory is how astronomers explain the way the universe began. It is the idea that the universe started at a single point, then expanded and stretched to grow as large as it is right now. Alright now onto the drama, thanks to the very new James Webb Space Telescope or (JWST) for short, false narratives have been spread throughout the space scene. It all started with a photo taken from the JWST (shown below), this photo showed what is to be believed as some of the oldest galaxies in the universe, dating back to approximately 200 million years after the Big Bang.

    But around Mid-August of 2022, an article published by an organization called The Institute of Art and Ideas, spread fake news and claimed that the JWST's observations of distant galaxies had disproved the Big Bang, which was not correct. This article began to spread and was published on many mainstream news sites. The author of this article was a man named Eric Lerner who has been denying the Big Bang Theory since the late 1980's, preferring his own pseudoscientific alternative. The irony of it all is that the JWST's findings actually prove the Big Bang Theory even more, the reason being is the photos taken by the telescope show the first galaxies being smaller and growing larger over time. So at the end of the day it was all a huge misunderstanding, now it isn't necessarily a bad thing to push what you believe in as MR. Lerner did, but make sure you have the facts and concrete evidence to back it up first. This concludes my entry on the whole Big Bang scandal and I thank you all for tuning in. Till next time!
