Entry #3. Is Elon Musk a puppet?

    Hello everyone and welcome to todays blog post, today I will be diving into an article I found on the CNN. The article titled, "Opinion: Is Elon Musk being played by a master manipulator?" written by Frida Ghitis offers a great example of someone who is trying to inform an audience about a topic, but on the other hand introduces their biased ideas and feelings towards the subject.  

    In the article Frida starts off strong by attacking Musk saying, "If Elon Musk’s actions didn’t have such powerful consequences, we could sit back and enjoy the show. But, since he likes weighing in heavily on consequential matters, the rest of the world has to worry about the impact and wonder whose side he’s on." She then goes on to bash musk even more by stating that, "Nothing in Musk’s monumental series of business accomplishments suggest that he has any expertise to delve into the world’s most dangerous conflicts." Throughout the article Frida goes on and on about Musks wealth and social clout, how he uses everything at his disposal to gain support from the powerful to further benefit his own goals. 

    It is very clear that she has a previous bias of Musk and truly dislikes him for his controversial words and remarks in the past years. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion and can think however they want, this kind of behavior and unprofessionalism on a mainstream news service can't be good for the credibility of the author, as well as the news source she represents.
