Entry #4. Apple VS Android
Hello everyone and welcome to todays post, today I will be talking about the differences between Apple and android. Hopefully through this blog post I can help those of you out there find which better suits your needs and is the right company to go with for your technological needs.
First let's start with apple, Apple is best known for their line of mobile devices, the iPhone. They also release many other products such as headphones, computers, watches, and tablets. Many people are drawn to apple because they are known to be simple and easy to use machines with great security. They are also know for being very high quality machines that perform as expected out of the box giving the user little to no problems on getting their device up and running. But not all companies are perfect, they all have their flaws. I would say the biggest drawbacks for apple are their very expensive "name brand" price tags and lack of customization, due to the very good security. If you are willing to spend the extra dollar on well made reliable devices that are simple to use and gets the job done, Apple devices are highly recommended.
Now onto Android, Android is best known for releasing devices that give its user more freedom and flexibility. They release many products some being phones, watches, cameras, TV's, and even game consoles. Today we will just focus on the Android smartphones. Android's smartphones runs an open source software that can be easily customized and edited by the user to allow you to do things you couldn't do on an iPhone. Some benefits to owning a android device is having access to an open ecosystem, customizable UI, customized ROMS, and of course a cheaper price point.
What we learned today is that both companies have their pros and cons. If you're someone looking for a safe route and seek quality and security go with an iPhone. If you are more into the DIY aspect and seek customization and freedom to change things on your device as you please, go with and android device. Well that is all for todays post, see you on the next one!
I love this post! The funny thing is that Android holds a special place in my heart for the ability to customize its devices. I had actually completely swapped out the OS on one of my old android devices and got it running with Linux! However, I needed a device that would be simple enough to use every day without all the exceptional odds and ends, so I'm now a die-hard Apple fan. It makes me sad that I can't customize my phone how I used to, but it's good enough for everyday use!
ReplyDeletePersonally I have always preferred android and never saw an appeal to any apple products, but this sheds a bit more light for me on why someone might want an iPhone.
ReplyDeleteMy first phone I purchased was a Samsung then I switched to iPhone because I personally like iPhones the way they are set up and the camera lens as well because I like taking pictures with good quality. I guess everyone has different perspectives and views things differently.
